REBECCA: S376-SEC

September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Lana Howard Meyers, Rebecca has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Rebecca was kept in her current grade level of K1 grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

September 2020: Thanks to the generous donation from Shelley Justiliano, Rebecca has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She has been sick and was not present  at registration but her materials were left with the administration to be given upon her return. She is in the K-1 grade this year and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.

2019:  Meet Rebecca, who has been generously sponsored by Janice O’Brien. She is 7 years old and is going to school for the first time this year in ABC.  Rebecca lives in Seclepea, Liberia with her widowed mother.  Rebecca’s father was a security officer and the mother stayed at home with their five children. Since the death of Rebecca’s father, the mother has been having a diffitcult time supporting her and her children.  Rebecca’s interests are helping her mom to cook and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
