Ramsey was promoted to the 2nd grade! Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Ramsey has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. He continues to live with his mother and he still wants to be a doctor when he grows up. With less than 500 doctors serving a population of 4.5 million people, Liberian households often experience fatalities due to treatable illnesses. Children aspiring to become doctors is a worthy cause. We are honored to walk along side Ramsey as he pursues his hopes and dreams of becoming a doctor.

Meet Ramsey, who has been generously sponsored by Grace Courchane. He is 12 years old and is in the 1st grade this year. Ramsey lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with his single mother who has 6 children. Ramsey’s mother did not want for him to be in the streets or to get hooked up with the wrong crowd of kids. Therefore, she has been sending him to the various mechanic shops to be their helper and learn how to be a mechanic. When Ramsey heard that GPA was in town, he came to plead with our GPA team to please help him go to school so he doesn’t have to do mechanic work. He said, “I don’t want to be a mechanic. I want to be a docta. Not mechanic. Please papa, please oldma, help me”. His interests are going to school and he hopes to be a doctor when he grows up.
