Thanks to the generous donation from Peggy & John Sundquist, Princess has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020-2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021-2022 school year. Princess was kept in her current grade level of 4th grade for the upcoming school year. Princess recently delivered with a beautiful baby girl. She’s determined to complete school so she can support she and her daughter. Princess continues to live with her grandmother and she now wants to be a nurse and deliver babies when she grows up.

Meet Princess, who has been generously sponsored by Peggy & John Sundquist. She is 14 years old and is in the 3rd grade this year. Princess lives in Gbapa, Liberia with her grandmother. After Princess’ parent’s divorce, her mother had taken Princess to her father’s telling her that she would be back in about a month to get Princess. It’s been over a year now and her mother has not returned. The family is praying that she is ok because it is out of character for her. Princess hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
