Princess was promoted to ninth grade. She continues to live with her mother and her baby is thriving. Princess is thankful for the scholarship opportunity coupled with extended family support that allows her to remain in school while raising her baby. She is still hopeful of joining the army one day. 21-year-old Princess was promoted to 8th grade in spite of the fact that she was pregnant (but hid it…being pregnant while in school is not allowed) during the better part of the school year! Princess had her baby during the school year break and two months later, she was able to begin a new school year. Her favorite subject is history. Princess still lives with her mother. Thanks to the generous donation from Kate Cassidy, Princess has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020-2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021-2022 school year. Princess was kept in her current grade level of 7th grade for the upcoming school year. Princess is pregnant and is still attending school. She’s determined to get an education in order to be in a better position to support she and her child. Princess continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a soldier when she grows up.

Thanks to the generous donation from Kate Cassidy, Princess has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She had a baby girl who is five months old now. With the challanges of having a baby, she is continuing her education in hopes of providing a better life for she and her daughter. Princess said that she wants to be a good role model for her daughter. She is in the 7th grade this year and still wants to be a soldier when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.
