PAULINE: S527-SEH

2025
Pauline has recently returned to Girl Power Africa after spending several years living with another family. When she came back, she was very emotional and asked to please be accepted into the program again. It was shared that her time away had been very difficult, and she made the brave decision to return to the place where she feels safe and supported. Pauline is now in the fourth grade and has the opportunity to continue her education in a more stable and nurturing environment. Back with her original family and surrounded by people who care about her well-being, she is beginning to settle in again and rebuild her confidence. Despite the challenges she has faced, Pauline continues to hold onto her dreams for the future. In earlier years, she shared that she hopes to become a midwife one day, a goal that reflects her caring heart and desire to help others. With this fresh start, she has a renewed chance to grow, learn, and move forward with hope. Her journey shows resilience and courage, and she is deeply grateful for the support that makes this new chapter possible. Sponsored by: Phil Vasby

Meet Pauline, who has been generously sponsored by Joyce Jorgensen on behalf of the estate of Dennis Valstad. She is 8 years old and is in the K-1 grade this year. She lives in Sehyi Geh, Liberia with her father. The mother abandoned them because she had someone else who was ready to marry her. Her interests are to help cook and she hopes to be a midwife when she grows up.
