Patrick is now 10 years old and has been promoted to the third grade. This year was not an easy one for him. According to his teachers, Patrick was out sick for several weeks, which caused him to fall behind in some of his lessons. Although he struggled to catch up, he worked hard and was able to barely pass to the next grade level. When we spoke with Patrick, he honestly shared that he knows he can do better. He promised that next year he will try his very best to pass with stronger grades, not just barely making it through. His determination to improve shows his growing maturity and commitment to his education. Patrick still loves drawing, which continues to be a bright spot in his life. After school, he helps his family on the farm, often working until evening before returning home to prepare dinner with his family. Once the day’s chores are complete, he settles down to focus on his homework. Even with the many responsibilities he carries, Patrick remains dedicated to school. We are proud of Patrick for persevering through illness and pushing himself to move forward. With his renewed determination and continued support, we believe he will grow stronger academically in the coming year. Sponsored by: Kathleen Mack

Patrick has been promoted to the 2nd grade and continues to have a passion for drawing. After school, he helps his family on the farm with the day’s work. His family often comes home late in the evening to prepare dinner, and after they finish, Patrick settles down to do his homework. Despite his busy schedule, he manages to balance his responsibilities at home with his commitment to his education and his love for drawing. Sponsored by: Kathleen Mack

Patrick is seven years old and in kindergarten class.  He lives with his 27-year-old brother because his mother and father abandoned him.  His brother does subsistence farming and also has three children of his own to care for.  Patrick wants to be a tailor one day and is thankful for the gift of a scholarship. Sponsored by: Jane Cree
