Thanks to the generous donation from Teresa Horsley, Patricia has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She is in Kindergarten-1 this year and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. With less than 500 doctors serving a population of 4.5 million people, Liberian households often experience fatalities due to treatable illnesses. Children aspiring to become doctors is a worthy cause. We are honored to walk along side Patricia as she follows her hopes and dreams. She continues to live with her grandmother.

Meet Patricia, who has been generously sponsored by Teresa Horsley. She is 6 years old and is going to school for the first time this year in ABC. Patricia lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with her grandmother. Patricia’s mother abandoned her at birth because she did not want to carry the pregnancy through. But her mother had asked her to please continue the pregnancy until delivery and she would keep the child. That promise was kept and the grandmother is the caregiver of Patricia. Unfortunately, the grandmother is unemployed and could not afford to send Patricia to school. Patricia hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
