Nemelah has been promoted to the fifth grade, and his happiness about school is bigger than ever. He came jumping off the pickup truck with a huge smile, proudly holding his report card to show everyone. His face was full of pride and excitement. Math is his favorite subject, and it is also where he earned his highest marks. He enjoys learning and continues to work hard in class, showing great focus and determination. When asked what motivates him to attend school, Nemelah shared that he wants to one day provide for his family. That dream pushes him to do his best each day. After losing his grandmother, there was a time his future in school was uncertain. The support he received made it possible for him to continue his education, and now he is growing in both confidence and knowledge. Nemelah is a grateful, driven young boy with a bright future ahead, taking steady steps toward his dream. Sponsored by: Bijou Lab LLC

Thanks to the generous donation from Christina Velasquez, Nemelah has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. He received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Nemelah was kept in his current grade level of 1st grade for the upcoming school year. He continues to live with his aunt and still wants to be a doctor when he grows up.
