Thanks to the generous donation from Sandy Prestine, Nancy has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Nancy was kept in her current grade level of K-1 grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her aunt and still wants to be a engineer when she grows up. Please Note: Nancy’s hair was shaved off due to a severe case of scabies.

Meet Nancy, who has been generously sponsored by Sandy Prestine. She is 7 years old and in the K-1 grade this year. She lives in Borsonnor Town, Liberia with her aunt. Nancy was abandoned by both her mother and father. Her aunt is the primary caregiver but is not earning enough money to send her to school. Her interests are building things and she hopes to be an engineer when she grows up.
