Menty has been promoted from 4th grade to 5th grade this year and continues to excel in his studies. He is a very smart and hardworking student, motivated by his goal to achieve more than his parents and to help his family. At home, Menty takes on many responsibilities—he hauls water from the creek, cleans inside and outside the house, washes dishes, and helps with many other chores. Despite his busy schedule, he remains committed to his education and performs well in class. Menty is deeply grateful for the support that allows him to stay in school and is determined to continue learning and making progress.

Menty is ten years old and lives with his mother in her sister’s household (Menty’s aunt) along with his three siblings and his aunt’s children. Menty is in second grade and his mother could not afford to send him to school this year.  Imagine Menty’s relief when his mother reached out to GPA and was awarded a scholarship.  Menty wants to be a doctor.  Thanks to GPA incredible partner network for providing a safety net for Menty.
