Melvina was happy to return for her 2025 school year registration. She is now in the 6th grade after successfully passing last year. During her interview, her teachers noted that she continues to have outstanding performance in her classes. English remains her favorite subject, and she shared that her mother and Girl Power Africa motivate her to keep learning and doing her best.
Melvina lives with her single mother. Her father has passed away, and her mother works hard to support the home. Melvina helps with water collection and other responsibilities, but she is determined to stay committed to her education. She hopes to study hard this year so she can be promoted to the next class. In the future, she dreams of giving back to her community.
When asked what she appreciates most about Girl Power Africa, Melvina said she is grateful for her school fees being paid. Since receiving support through GPA, she shared that things have gotten much better for her.
