Marion was promoted to the 1st grade and has been re-enrolled in school for the 2022/2023 school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a nurse when she grows up. Nurses and health care workers in general are sorely needed in Liberia where access to medical care is challenged by a limited number of health facilities and workers. GPA is honored to walk alongside Marion and encourage her dream of becoming a nurse. Sponsored by: Tina Lupiezowiec

Thanks to the generous donation from Tina Lupiezowiec, Marion has been re-enrolled in school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedules. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Marion was kept in her current grade level of K-2 grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
