LOVETEE: S323-KIA

Lovetee faced a challenging setback this school year following a nationwide reassessment in Liberia, during which some students were placed in grade levels that better matched their academic readiness. As a result, Lovetee was moved back from fifth grade to fourth grade. This experience was difficult for her, and she shared that she felt guilty and worried that her sponsor’s support was being wasted. Despite these feelings, Lovetee has shown honesty, maturity, and renewed determination. She promised that she will work harder, stay focused, and pass this year. Her commitment reflects her strong sense of responsibility and her deep appreciation for the opportunity she has been given. Lovetee continues to live with her grandmother and remains a bright student with a natural interest in math and leadership. Even in the face of disappointment, she is choosing to learn from this experience and use it as motivation to improve. With continued encouragement and support, Lovetee is determined to rebuild her confidence, succeed academically, and continue growing into the capable leader she has the potential to become.

Meet Lovetee, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (Mohamad). She is 10 years old and is in the 1st grade this year. She lives in Kialay, Liberia with her aunt. Her biological mother is mentally ill and abandoned her, at 3 years old, on the streets of Sinoe, where her mother’s sister found her. Her interests are treating sick people and she hopes to be a doctor/nurse when she grows up.
