Lincoln is 15 years old and will be repeating the fifth grade. Science is his favorite subject, and his teachers shared that he is beginning to show renewed focus and improvement after struggling last year due to health challenges. Lincoln feels encouraged to return to school and is determined to see himself promoted to the next grade. He lives with his aunt and helps at home by selling goods to support the family. Lincoln shared that Girl Power Africa’s support has helped him improve his studies and remain in school. He hopes to use his education to help his mother and siblings in the future.Sponsored by: Sarah Mani
Note to Sponsor:
This year in Liberia, many public schools conducted a reassessment of students. Based on the results, some children—including your sponsored student—were placed in a lower grade or asked to repeat a grade to better match their current learning level. This adjustment is not due to any wrongdoing or lack of effort—it is simply to ensure they are in the grade where they can learn, grow, and succeed with confidence. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Lincoln, a 14-year-old in 6th grade, is a hardworking and determined young boy. He lives with his aunt, who does her best to support him, but life has been challenging. After school, Lincoln spends his afternoons at the motorcycle repair shop in his community, where he helps fix motorcycles in exchange for food to help meet his basic needs. Lincoln dreams of becoming a lawyer when he grows up, driven by a desire to create a better future for himself and those around him. He loves soccer and wishes he could play for his school team, but he often has to choose between playing the sport he loves and working for food. Despite this tough decision, Lincoln remains focused on his goals and his education. With support and resources, Lincoln hopes to continue his studies, achieve his dreams, and one day become a lawyer who makes a difference in his community. Sponsored by: Joyce Jorgensen
