Leo has continued to make steady progress in his education and was promoted to the 4th grade this year. He still lives with his aunt, and each day he balances school with important responsibilities at home. Before heading to class in the mornings, Leo helps his aunt set up and open her small store. After school, he returns to the store and assists with selling until closing time in the evening. Only after a long day of work does Leo settle down to complete his homework. Despite his busy schedule, Leo remains focused on his education and committed to doing well in school. His responsibility, work ethic, and determination are far beyond his years. Being back in the Girl Power Africa program continues to give Leo the support and encouragement he needs to stay on track and pursue his goals. Leo is grateful for the opportunity to attend school, and he continues to hold onto his dream of becoming a teacher one day. His perseverance and dedication, both at school and at home, are a powerful reminder of how education can help open doors to a brighter future.

Leo has made great strides this year. He was promoted to the third grade and is now back in the Girl Power Africa program after spending some time living with another family in an area that was not part of the program. Although Leo was not in the program during that time, he was still attending school. Now, back with his original family, he is once again part of the Girl Power Africa community. Leo has a clear goal for his future—he wants to become a teacher when he grows up. This determination is evident in his hard work and focus on his education. This year, his favorite subject has been math, where he has shown great promise and a strong understanding. We’re incredibly proud of Leo’s resilience and the steps he’s taken to overcome the challenges in his life. His passion for learning and his dream of becoming a teacher inspire all of us. We look forward to seeing him continue to grow and achieve great things. Sponsored by: Lauren Lebwohl
