This year, we were unable to meet with your student, Kou, during school registration, as they were either out of town, sick, or facing circumstances that prevented them from attending. Even so, their school fees were paid, and all of their school materials were given to the school staff to ensure they receive everything as soon as they return. Because the student was not present on registration day, we were unable to take an updated photo for 2025. Thank you for your understanding and continued support—it truly makes a difference in their life. Sponsored by: Anonymous Donor

Kou faced an incredibly difficult year after the loss of her mother, which caused her to miss a significant amount of school and ultimately resulted in her failing the second grade. Her teacher has always spoken highly of her, describing Kou as a very good and serious student, one who was always focused on her lessons before the tragedy struck. After her mother’s passing, it became too overwhelming for Kou to continue attending school, and she struggled to keep up with her studies. Despite this, Kou has shown incredible resilience. Her favorite subject is math, and she has promised herself that this year, she will focus on her lessons, put in the effort to pass, and try to move forward in life, despite the challenges she faces. We are incredibly proud of Kou’s determination to push through and continue her education, even in the toughest of times. With her strength and commitment, we know she will continue to grow and succeed. Sponsored by: Pat Rucks

Kou is ten years old and has started and stopped school on several occasions because her parents could not sustain tuition and fee payments. Kou is in 1st grade and lives with her parents and three siblings. She likes playing kickball and wants to be a machine operator one day. Her favorite dish is potato green stew eaten over rice, a readily available local favorite. Kou is excited about her school year. Thanks to the scholarship, she has no fear of not completing her school year. Sponsored by: Donations from General Funds
