Kerina was promoted to the 6th grade this year, and she remains as determined as ever to pursue her dream of working in a newspaper or newsroom. Her ambition is clear, and she’s already taking on leadership roles—she was re-elected as her class president, which speaks to the respect and admiration her classmates have for her. After school, Kerina’s day doesn’t end. She heads to the creek to draw about 10 gallons of water, which she brings back home. There, she helps her mom with the cooking, ensuring that the household runs smoothly. Despite the heavy workload at home, Kerina stays focused on her studies and leadership responsibilities at school. Her favorite food is Liberian fried potato grains with rice, a dish that provides comfort after a long, busy day. Kerina is an incredibly hardworking young lady, balancing her academic, leadership, and family responsibilities with grace and determination. We’re proud of her efforts and her commitment to both her education and her family. Sponsored by: Michelle Del Pino
