Junior was promoted to the second grade this year, and he’s been making wonderful progress. His favorite subject is reading, and he always arrives at school on time, wearing a big smile that lights up the classroom. Despite facing a challenge this year with skin fungus around his nose and face, Junior remains upbeat and focused on his studies. His teachers have expressed how proud they are of him, praising his perseverance and positive attitude. Junior continues to live with his uncle and, like many students in his community, works hard at home after school. Every day, he fetches about 15 gallons of water from the creek for his family to use. Despite the demanding tasks at home, Junior remains committed to his education and is thriving in school. Girl Power Africa is incredibly proud of Junior for his hard work, resilience, and dedication to both his studies and family. We’re confident that he will continue to grow and succeed in everything he sets his mind to. Sponsored by: Jessica Reed

Junior is nine years old and in kindergarten. He lives with his uncle. His father passed away seven years ago, and his uncle took Junior and his four siblings into his household. Saddled with the responsibility of caring for his own children coupled with his brother’s children, Junior’s uncle could not sustain the multi-layered family’s school education. He is very grateful for the scholarship. Junior wants to work in an office one day. Sponsored by: Jessica Reed
