JOSEPHINE: S115-GBA

Josephine has been promoted to the 8th grade and remains in the care of her mother. With a keen interest in science and math, she excels in her favorite subjects. Her teacher praises her as an exceptional student, noting her intelligence and insightful contributions to class discussions. Despite her academic prowess, Josephine’s dream of becoming a teacher one day remains steadfast.

Josephine got a double promotion from 5^th to 7^th grade!  At 16 years old, this is a well-earned and welcomed achievement to enable Josephine catch up with her age-appropriate grade level.  Her favorite subject is science and she still live with her mother.  She is excited about this school year and thankful for the scholarship support of GPA. Meet Josephine, who has been generously sponsored by Leif Hansen.  She is 10 years old and in the 1st grade this year. She lives in Gbapa, Liberia with her mother. Josephine told me, “Oldma, my parents are poor and do not have money to send me to school. ” Her interests are helping her mom and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
