Jonathon was promoted to seventh grade and still dreams of becoming a teacher one day. His favorite subject is reading and writing. He continuously thanked Girl Power Africa for what we’ve done for him. He says “he wouldn’t be in school if it wasn’t for his sponsor.” Thank you GPA’s network of miracle workers. Jonathon was promoted to 6th grade! During our one-on-one interview, he was excited to share his big news of becoming the secretary for his class. He is a very smart and determined young boy. 2021

Thanks to the generous donation from Gary Kelsey, Jonathon has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. He received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedules. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Jonathan was kept in his current grade level of 5th grade for the upcoming school year. He is now living with his uncle and still wants to be a teacher when he grows up.

Thanks to the generous donation from Suresh Ilangopa, Jonathon has been re-enrolled in school for the 2020/2021 school year. He is in the 5th grade this year and still wants to be a teacher when he grows up. He is doing well in school and likes to play football (soccer). He continues to live with his mother.
