Joetta is 12 years old and currently in the second grade. Her life took a tragic turn three years ago when her father went to their farm and was killed instantly by a falling tree while he was cutting it. The loss of her father left Joetta and her six siblings in a difficult situation, with their mother now raising the children alone. As a single widow, Joetta’s mother has struggled to provide for the family, and due to financial difficulties, she has been unable to send the children to school. Despite the hardships she faces, Joetta remains hopeful for the future. She dreams of becoming a teacher one day, a goal that motivates her to work hard and continue her education.
