October 2019: Thanks to the generous donation from Judy Reed, Joana has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019-2020 school year. 

June 2019: We are pleased to announce that Joana was promoted to the K1 grade for the 2018-2019 school year. Judy, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education through Girl Power Africa.

2018:  Meet Joana, who has been generously sponsored by Judy Reed.  She is 8 years old and is going to school for the first time this year. She lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with her mother. Joana’s mom who is unemployed with 3 children can not afford to send her to school. She hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
