Jackoline was recently promoted to the fourth grade and continues to show determination and resilience in her education. Unfortunately, she was unable to attend the school distribution this year because she was not feeling well that day, as she is currently pregnant. Despite this, Jackoline remains dedicated to her studies and attends school regularly. Her school principal spoke highly of her, describing her as an excellent student who is committed to her education. Jackoline’s perseverance in continuing her schooling under challenging circumstances is truly admirable. Sponsored by: Joyce Jorgensen

Thanks to the generous donation from Linda Growney, Jackoline has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Jackoline was kept in her current grade level of 2nd grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a nurse when she grows up.

Meet Jackoline, who has been generously sponsored by Linda Growney. She is 10 years old and in the 1st grade this year. Jackoline lives in Gbobayee, Liberia with her widowed mother. After the death of Jackoline’s father 3 years ago, their mother has been having a difficult time supporting her and her children. Jackoline’s interests are helping her mom with cooking, laundry, and drawing water. She hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
