HELENA: S1030-GBO

Helena, now 13 years old, has been promoted to the second grade this year. She shared that her favorite subject is Social Studies, where she enjoys learning about people, places, and the world around her. She continues to work hard in school and is grateful for the chance to keep learning. Her home life remains the same. Helena still lives with her parents, and her father continues to struggle with the lasting effects of a snakebite that left him unable to fully support the family. Her mother works tirelessly, but finances are still very limited, making education a challenge. Despite these hardships, Helena remains hopeful and determined to continue her education so she can build a better future for herself and her family. Helena is 12 years old and currently in the first grade. She lives with her father and mother. Several years ago, her father was bitten by a snake, and he has not fully recovered from the incident, which has left him unable to support the family. Helena’s mother works hard to provide for the family, but despite her efforts, they struggle to make ends meet. This has made it difficult for Helena and her siblings to attend school regularly.
