Grace: S778-GBO

Grace was promoted to the 3rd grade this year, and her determination and hard work are truly inspiring. Despite her family moving to a different town, which requires her to walk a longer distance to school, Grace still managed to pass and advance to the next grade. She faces the challenge of the longer walk every day but always arrives at school on time, often before the bell rings. Her favorite subject is drawing, and she puts a lot of effort into her studies. According to her teacher, Grace is a very hardworking student who consistently performs well despite the difficulties she faces. We are so proud of her dedication and perseverance, and we look forward to seeing her continue to excel. Sponsored by: Susan Studz

Ten-year old Grace’s father abandoned her family five years ago and left her mother to care for she and her five siblings.  Her subsistence farming mother is struggling with the challenge of providing for her family in an economically challenged country.  She can barely provide food and shelter. Grace and her mother are very happy for this scholarship opportunity.  Grace is in first grade and already behind for her age-appropriate grade level but is determined to catch up.  She’s in the first grade and wants to work with computers when she grows up. Sponsored by: Tina Bender
