FREDRICK: S1037-GBL

Fredrick has been promoted to the first grade this year, and his joyful personality continues to shine. When he arrived, he excitedly said he wanted to show us a “style.” When asked what style, he held up two fingers with a big smile and said, “Peace to my sponsor.” It was a sweet and confident moment that showed both his happiness and gratitude. Fredrick still lives with his mother and father, who work hard to provide for their family, though life remains financially difficult with many children in the household. Even with these challenges, Fredrick is grateful to be in school and continues to look forward to learning each day. Fredrick is 8 years old and is in Kindergarten-2. He lives with both his mother and father, who work hard to support their family. His father is a security guard, earning $90 a month, but with six children to care for, that income is simply not enough to meet all their needs. Because of their financial struggles, Fredrick’s father is unable to send all the children to school on a regular basis.
