EMMANUEL: S287-DUA

2023
Emmanuel proudly advanced to the seventh grade! This year, he celebrated his perfect attendance and commendable grades. Beyond his academic achievements, Emmanuel diligently starts his mornings by drawing water from a nearby well to fulfill his family’s daily water requirements. Drawing water involves manually retrieving it from a deep underground source using a bucket or similar container, often requiring multiple trips back and forth before getting ready for school. Despite his responsibilities, Emmanuel remains resolute in his dream of becoming a Representative one day. He continues to live with his mother. Sponsored by: Pam Albi

Meet Emmanuel, who has been generously sponsored by Lori Fischer Hall and family. He is 10 years old and in the 2nd grade this year. He lives in Duazon, Liberia with his widow mother. Emmanuel’s father passed away about a year ago. Since his death, his unemployed mother has been unable to afford to send her children to school on a regular basis. He hopes to be a representative when he grows up.
