Emmanuel has advanced to the fourth grade, holding steadfast to his dream of becoming a teacher in the future. Throughout the past year, he has shown significant growth and maturity. Described by his teacher as a diligent student, Emmanuel actively engages in classroom discussions, displaying both a willingness to answer questions and an eagerness to ask them.

Despite the challenges he may face, Emmanuel remains in the care of his mother as he continues his academic journey. With his dedication to his studies and his aspirations, Emmanuel exemplifies determination and perseverance.

12-year-old Emmanuel had a good school year.  When he was just seven years old, he told GPA, “I want to go to school so I can help other family members”.  Emmanuel “owns” the culturally expected responsibility of becoming a benefactor for his family! What can easily be perceived as a stressful burden is Emmanuel’s hope and determination. This little one’s insight and maturity exceed his chronological age. What a privilege to walk alongside Emmanuel in his educational journey. Sponsored by: Scott Lacourse
