Courage has been promoted to the third grade this year and continues to show remarkable determination in her studies. When asked about her motivation, Courage shared in her sweet, quiet voice, “I don’t want my mom to suffer. I want to help my mom.” Her dream is simple yet powerful—to support her mother and ease her struggles at home. Courage’s day is full of responsibilities. After school, she helps fetch water from the creek, assists with cooking, and supports her family in any way she can. Despite the hardships she faces, Courage is grateful for the opportunity to attend school and is committed to making the most of it. Her teachers admire her seriousness, dedication, and compassion, and her mother is deeply thankful for the support that allows Courage to continue her education.

Courage is nine years old is in the 2nd grade and has experienced a lot of hardship in her young life. She had been living with both of her parents until two years ago when her father passed away from diabetes. Since then, her mother has been raising Courage and her three siblings on her own, facing the difficult challenge of providing for them. With limited resources, her mother struggles to afford sending all her children to school. Despite these difficulties, Courage remains hopeful and determined to build a better future. She dreams of becoming a teacher one day and works hard every day to help her family. After school, Courage helps her mother by fetching water from the creek, ensuring that they have enough drinking water at home.
