Thanks to the generous donation from Mark Dumas, Cooper was promoted into the 2nd grade for the 2021/2022 school and has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year. School is his favorite part of his day and he enjoys math. Cooper is great at asking questions and participating during class. And he even stays after school to help his teacher by cleaning up and sweeping the class.

2021
Thanks to the generous donation from Mark Dumas, Cooper has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. He received an incomplete for the 2020-2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021-2022 school year. Cooper was kept in his current grade level of 1st grade for the upcoming school year. He continues to live with his mother and still wants to be a pilot when he grows up.
