CHRISTINA: S1053-FLO
October
2025
Christina is now 11 years old and has been promoted to the 2nd grade this year after a year away from the GPA program. While her teacher shared that she struggled academically and barely passed to the next grade level, Christina is proud of herself for not giving up. She knows she can do better, and she has promised to work much harder this year to improve her grades and become stronger in her lessons. Christina continues to live with her mother and two siblings. Her mother still works tirelessly as a peanut seller, earning a small daily profit to provide food for the family. Life is not easy, but Christina remains grateful for the opportunity to attend school—something that would not be possible without support. Despite the challenges at home and in the classroom, Christina continues to hold onto her dream of becoming a carpenter one day. Her determination and willingness to try again show her growing maturity and resilience. We are proud of Christina for pushing forward, even when school feels difficult, and we believe this year will be a stronger one for her. Sponsored by: Joyce Jorgensen
