September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Cathie Kuklinski, Betina has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 2nd grade this year and still wants to be a nurse when she grows up. She continues to live with her father.
September 2020: Thanks to the generous donation from Dawn Lalley, Betina has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She is in the 1st grade this year and still wants to be a nurse when she grows up. She continues to live with her father.
2019: Meet Betina, who has been generously sponsored by Dawn Lalley. She is 9 years old and is in the K2 this year. Betina who recently lost her mother is now living in Seclepea, Liberia with her father who had previously disowned the pregnancy of Betina. The father has 6 children and could not afford to send Betina to school. Her interests are playing with dolls and she hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
