Beatrice: S793-FLO

Beatrice was promoted to the second grade this year, and she continues to show great determination. She shared that her favorite class is drawing, where she can express her creativity and passion. Although Beatrice does not have anyone at home to help her with her assignments, she is giving her best effort in the classroom. Her teachers have mentioned that she does require extra help, but they are proud of her progress. Despite the challenges, Beatrice passed and was promoted to the next grade level, and we are so proud of her accomplishments. Her teachers describe her as a hardworking student who applies herself to her studies. She always arrives on time for school, showing her dedication and commitment. After school, Beatrice heads home where she helps her mom with the cooking, taking on responsibilities at home. Eight-year-old Beatrice is in Kindergarten2 class and lives in Flowin, Liberia with her mother and four siblings.  Her mother could only afford to send two of her children to school and she opted to send the older ones.  She could not afford to send Beatrice to school as the only income she has is from subsistence farming, earning less than $2.00 daily.  Beatrice wants to be a teacher one day and she is thankful for the gift of a scholarship.
