Angeline is now 14 years old, and this past school year was especially difficult for her. Her mother became seriously ill, and Angeline had to stay home for nearly two months to serve as her caregiver. During that time, she missed many lessons and was unable to complete a significant portion of her schoolwork. As a result, she received incompletes in several subjects and was not promoted to the next grade level. Although she was disappointed, Angeline understands why the decision was made. Her teacher shared that the circumstances were beyond her control, and that she is still known as a hardworking and responsible student. In the past, Angeline stood out as a leader in her class, even serving as class secretary and balancing heavy responsibilities at home, including fetching water and helping with cooking. That same strength and determination are still within her. Angeline has promised to try her very best in the coming school year. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue her education and for being given another chance to strengthen her lessons. Despite the setbacks, she remains committed to working hard and moving forward. We are proud of Angeline’s resilience during such a challenging time and believe this next year will be one of growth and renewed success.

Angeline was promoted to the third grade this year, and her hard work and leadership skills have truly stood out. Her teacher describes her as a very good student and a natural team leader. She was even elected as her class secretary, a role she takes seriously and performs excellently. After school, Angeline doesn’t stop working. She runs home, draws about 10 gallons of water from the well, and then helps her family with cooking. Her dedication to both her studies and her responsibilities at home is remarkable. Angeline is a wonderful, hardworking student, and we are incredibly proud of her achievements and the effort she puts into everything she does. Sponsored by: Anonymous

Ten-year-old Angeline is in first grade at Gbobayee Public School in Liberia. Her parents managed to support her pre-kindergarten and kindergarten education but could not afford the tuition and fees for this year. Angeline had given up hope of going to school when her parents reached out to GPA representatives in their community. Her parents are subsistence farmers and have four children to provide for. Angeline is very happy and thankful for this scholarship opportunity. She wants to be a doctor one day. Sponsored by: Phil Vasby
