Rebecca is repeating the first grade this year after facing some challenges last year. She was unable to attend school regularly because her father was sick, and she had to stay home to take care of him. Despite these difficulties, Rebecca has shown great resilience and is back in school, continuing to pursue her education. Rebecca is a very shy and quiet girl, and her teacher has noted that when she does come to school, she is always well-behaved and focused. She tends to stay to herself due to her shy nature, but she is dedicated to her work. Rebecca’s favorite subject is drawing, and she has a natural talent for it. She enjoys expressing herself through art and loves spending time creating. We are so proud of Rebecca for returning to school and showing such determination despite the challenges she’s faced. Her quiet strength, creativity, and commitment to her education are qualities that will serve her well as she continues to grow. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful things Rebecca will accomplish! Sponsored by: Scott Heise

Seven-year-old Rebecca lives with her parents and three siblings in the town of Gbobayee, Liberia. Her father is disabled and with limited mobility and he is unable to fully provide for his family. He helps Rebecca’s mother with the subsistence farming activities that barely supports. Rebecca wants to be a nurse one day. Her family is happy for the blessing of this scholarship and extends thanks to GPA’s amazing sponsors network. Sponsored by: Scott Heise
