September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Laura Stoller, Amos has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. He was promoted to the 4th grade this year and still wants to be a teacher when he grows up. He continues to live with his grandfather.
September 2020: Thanks to the generous donation from Laura Stoller, Amos has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. He is in the 3rd grade this year and still wants to be a teacher when he grows up. He is looking very healthy. He continues to live with his grandfather.
2019: Meet Amos, who has been generously sponsored by Laura Stoller. He is 12 years old and is in the 2nd grade this year. Amos lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with his grandpa. Amos’s mother had given him to his grandfather when he was about 7 years old because she could not afford to support him. His father who used to help support Amos also passed away in 2017. His grandfather who is unemployed cannot afford to send Amos to school. He hopes to be a teacher when he grows up.
