January 2024: Sixty one year old Yei is a subsistence farmer and has come to terms with the fact that she no longer has to strength for daily farm labor.  Her husband is nearing 80 years of age and has worked farms all his life.  He had to stop working five years ago leaving Yei to do most of the farm work required to keep the family fed and cared for.  Yei’s adult children will work the farm for her and she requested (and was granted) a farming supplies package.
