January 2024: Forty-one-year-old Yah lives with her eight children and makes a livelihood through farming contractual labor.  Yah’s husband left his family several years ago in search of work and never returned.  Yah and her children were forced to live with extended family.  Yah shared she must work on people’s farm to afford food for her family.  Only two of her five school age children are in school.  Yah was given a farming supplies package to enable her to make her own farm thereby earning more profit than working as a laborer on someone else’s farm(s).
