January 2024: Tutu is twenty-six years old caring for her three children.  With limited job opportunities, her husband traveled to another region of the country to the gold mining fields in search of work.  She has not heard from him since.  Tutu must work on other people’s farms in order to provide for her family.  The gift of an economic empowerment grant enables her to venture into cooking food and selling affordable cooked dishes in her neighborhood for a profit.
