Janet is nine years old and is in the first grade. She lives with her mother and father, who are small farmers. Together, they support six children, but their income is not enough to sponsor all of the children’s education. Janet hopes to work with computers when she grows up. In the meantime, she enjoys helping her mother cook and takes pride in contributing to her family’s daily needs.
