January 2024: Jackalin is a forty-five-year-old single mother raising five children.  She and her older two children do subsistence farming to maintain the household. Her older children had to drop out of school because Jackalin could not afford to keep them in school when she worked the farm alone.  Now they are focused on keeping the younger children in school until completion from high school and requested (and was granted) a farming supplies package to expand their farming enterprise.
