Seven year old Emmanuel lives with his grandmother in Duazon and he wants to be a doctor one day.  Emmanuel likes singing and dancing.  Emmanuel’s mother could not afford to send him to school so she sent him to live with his grandmother since she is a little better off economically.  Oftentimes, when parents are overwhelmed with providing for their family, they push the responsibility to grandparents.  In this case, Emmanuel’s grandmother could not afford to send him to school.  She reached out to GPA for help and thanks to our amazing partner network, Emmanuel will not fall through the cracks.  He is happy to be in school this year in Kindergarten-2.
