PATIENCE: E386-DUA

June 2022:  27-year-old Patience’s hope is not quenched by the reality of her
current economic circumstances.  Patience lives in Monrovia where one third of
Liberia’s 4.5 million populace live.  Her husband abandoned her and their two
children, and when her sister died, Patience had to take in three minor children.
With five children to provide for in a town where unskilled jobs are almost
impossible to find, Patience is thankful that Girl Power provided her an
opportunity to work in their Girl Power Africa market in Monrovia.  Patience’s
Business Empowerment Package enables her to sell consumable items and use the
profit to care for her children. A donation from Girl Power Africa’s General Funds
has given Patience and her children a hand up.
