Mercy is a 24-year-old single mother of 2 children who lives in Sannequillie, Liberia with a 6th grade education. After the death of both of Mercy’s parents, she dropped out of school to work and support her siblings. She told our Girl Power team during her interview: “The struggle has been too much for me and my brothers and sisters. We are just living by God’s mercy. I see why my ma name me Mercy. Because we are only living because God has mercy on us.” Thanks to the generous donation from Sharon Chamberlain, Mercy will be selling cold drinks in the local market to help support her siblings.
