Marie is a 35 years old widow mother of 4 children. Marie and her husband used to produce and sell charcoal at wholesale. Unfortunately, since the death of her husband, she has been unable to produce the charcoal due to it being labor intensive. Therefore, she has been unable to afford to send her children to school. Thanks to the generous donation from Charmaine Pellitteri, Marie will be able to successfully re-start her business. (Unfortunately at the time of the surprise empowerment, Marie had gone in the woods in search of food.) This is a photo of Marie’s children receiving Marie’s empowerment goods along with the city’s assistance mayor Wallace.
