KOPU QUIWONQUI: E106-DUA

Recipient: Kopu Quiwoqui -Age 25

Kopu has 1 child who is 7 years old. Her mother was young when she had her and was never around much. She was a daddy’s girl until the age of 4 when her daddy died. Kopu’s step mother raised her; but she never had the financial strength to send Kopu to School. Kopu told me that she will do anything possible to make sure her son gets the education that she never had the opportunity to get. For living, Kopu bakes about $4.50 USD worth of cookies each day. She sells the cookies by walking around the varies neighborhoods while carrying it in a bucket, on her head, for 6-8 hours a day. The profit of about $1.20 is what the family uses for food and her son’s recess. These are photos of Kopu receiving her new supply of selling goods to now be able to successfully start her very own business. This was made possible by the generous donation from Steven Kruger.
