Watkins is currently repeating kindergarten-2 and continues to receive support through Girl Power Africa. This past year was challenging for Watkins, as he experienced the loss of his grandfather, with whom he had been living, which disrupted his schooling and made it difficult for him to complete the school year successfully. Despite these hardships, Watkins has shown resilience and is gradually adjusting to his learning environment. With continued sponsorship covering school fees and supplies, he has the opportunity to remain in school, rebuild stability, and continue developing academically and emotionally. Watkins is seven years old and dreams of becoming a computer analyst one day. He actually said, “I want to work on computer when I grow up”. Watkins is in pre-kindergarten (ABC) class and enjoys helping with household chores and playing with his friends. He lives in his father’s household with four siblings; his mother abandoned the family several years ago. His father does subsistence farming and finds it challenging to provide the basics of food and shelter. Watkins and his dad are thankful for the gift of a GPA scholarship.
