SAMSON: S1104-GEH

Seven-year-old Samson is beginning school for the very first time. He comes from a hardworking farming family where both parents work from the land to provide food, but resources are very limited. With five children in the household, there has not been enough income to send any of them to school. Samson was brought forward by a teacher in the community who recognized his intelligence, seriousness about learning, and strong potential. It was shared that without support, Samson might never have had the opportunity to attend school. At home, Samson has been a big help to his family. He often walks to the creek to fetch water for drinking and household chores. Despite these responsibilities at such a young age, he carries himself with maturity and a desire to learn. Samson dreams of becoming an engineer one day. He is deeply grateful for the chance to start school and is excited for the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
