Thanks to the generous donation from Jennifer Metcalf, Joseph has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. He was promoted to the 1st grade this year and still wants to be a police officer when he grows up. At home part of his responsibility is waking up early and getting water for his family’s daily water usage. Access to water is limited in villages like Sanniquellie. One has to walk to a nearby well, creek or flowing stream to fetch water in a bucket and head tote it back to their house. Often times, it takes more than one trip when there’s a larger household. He continues to live with his mother.

Meet Joseph, who has been generously sponsored by Oak Bank. He is 6 years old and is in the Kindergarten-1 this year. Joseph lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with his unemployed mother. He hopes to be a police officer when he grows up.
