Ruth is 12 years old and was promoted to first grade! English is her favorite subject, especially reading and writing, and she shared that she has improved in reading and writing skills this past year. Ruth feels happy to be in school and hopes to be promoted to the next class. She shared that Girl Power Africa’s support with school fees and materials makes it possible for her to continue her education. Ruth is an 11-year-old girl with a heart full of compassion and a strong sense of responsibility. She is in Kindergarten2 this year, but her life at home demands a maturity beyond her age. Ruth’s father is disabled, and she plays a crucial role in taking care of him. Every day, she helps provide his daily care, making sure he is comfortable and well-supported. In addition to caring for her father, Ruth is responsible for many tasks around the house. She helps with cooking, cleaning, and keeping the household running smoothly, all while balancing her schoolwork. Despite the challenges, Ruth remains determined and focused on her studies. Ruth has big dreams for her future. She hopes to become a doctor when she grows up. She wants to help people like her father, and she is passionate about learning everything she can to achieve her goal. Her strength and resilience are inspiring. Ruth’s dedication to her family, her selflessness in caring for her father, and her unwavering hope for the future show that, even in difficult circumstances, there is always room for dreams to grow.
